He is both committed to serving his patients' needs and to involving patients in every aspect of their dental treatment, from the initial diagnosis to treatment planning choices and the review of final restorations. Dr. Wasserman has received fellowships and awards throughout his long career in dentistry, including the coveted Fellowship in the American College of Dentists. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International, a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Health (London). Dr. Wasserman has been listed in numerous publications, including "Who's Who in the West", "Who's Who in America", and "Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare". He has received awards of recognition from the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association, as well as many other organizations, and his articles have been reprinted by the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Association, and many others. He was most recently named one of "America's Top Dentists" by the Consumers Research Council. His in-depth skills in Cosmetic Dentistry include providing such advanced treatment as full mouth cosmetic reconstruction, enabling Dr. Wasserman to correct deficiencies in smiles and also providing for the correction of disfiguring dental conditions. He is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, has completed laser research and has authored articles on dental laser treatment, in addition to being a lecturer on the topic of lasers in dentistry. A variety of lasers are used at Cody Family and Cosmetic Dentistry to provide quality, comfortable, injection free treatment of tooth decay and gum conditions and surgery. Cutting edge lasers now are able to provide diagnosis of dental decay to a level of accuracy previously unavailable in dentistry. Restoration of missing teeth with dental implants and the surgical placement of dental implants are skills Dr. Wasserman is pleased to bring to Cody. His specialized training in implant technology brings the ability to replace single or multiple missing teeth with crowns, bridges and dentures firmly anchored to proven, surgically stable implants, for restorations of unmatched durability and greatly improved function as compared with older dental techniques. Dr. Wasserman is also trained in a wide variety of oral surgery and periodontal surgery techniques. His practice focuses on his patients' periodontal health through the prevention and treatment of gum disease. The treatment of TMJ and Sports Dentistry are additional areas of Dr. Wasserman's expertise. He is currently the Treating Emergency Dentist for the Cody Stampede®. In addition to his training in sports dentistry and the ability to provide advanced protective sports appliances to help prevent tooth and jaw injury, Cody Family and Cosmetic Dentistry has in its clinic the latest TMJ imaging equipment, allowing the Doctor to properly diagnose and treat conditions of the TMJ and surrounding tissues, bringing a new level of TMJ and sports dental care to Cody and the surrounding area.
